FUZZY LIGHTNING FLYBALL TEAM
You Never Know When Lighting Will Strike

Who are we?

Fuzzy Lightning is a Michigan based Flyball team. We are a group of fun-loving guys and gals who care very much about the health and happiness of their dogs. We have members from cities such as Fraser, Sterling Heights, Mt. Clemens, Warren, St Clair Shores, Farmington Hills, and Clinton Township, amung others.

We are not one of the fastest teams on the racing circuit but we can hold our own. There is one thing for certain ... we know how to have fun and that's all that matters to us.

Our team is made up of many different breeds of dogs from the small breeds like the Jack Russell Terriers and Pappillons, to much larger breeds like and Labrador Retrievers and Austrailian shepherds, we even have a Treeing Walker Coon Hound.

How Fuzzy Lightning got started ...

Long before there was a Fuzzy Lightning team there was a dream of one. The dream began as a thought or two, as most dreams will, but it's where the dream begins that determins if it will come true or not. This particular dream picked the right place to grow, it began to take shape in the mind of wonderful and enthusiastic woman who loved her dogs and the sport of Flyball racing.

Our captain began participating in the Flyball sport because it was fun and everyone got along. In the begining all the dogs got a chance to run and play ball no matter how good they were at the sport. However, over time the team she was on changed and instead of being in it for fun, the team began to gear itself towards winning. Dogs that were fast were put with other dogs that were fast so their team would win and dogs that were slow were taken off those teams, they were placed with other slow dogs on other teams if they were put on a team at all. Soon it became clear to our captain that this team obviously wasn't in it for fun anymore and she made a decision ... she left that team.

She did some advertising through a class she taught and found a few other people who enjoyed Flyball and who didn't care if they won any races or not. Their dogs had fun and so did the people ... Fuzzy Lightning was born ... to this day she welcomes any dog to train on her team, fast or slow, and by-gosh everyone has fun!
